I just accepted a spot on the Atlanta CV quad line, as there was a hole that needed filling, and I was up for the job. This would take up virtually ever weekend of mine over the summer, and I would travel to multiple locations on the east coast in order to compete. The overall cost to participate is less than usual, in my late joining case, but it is still a hefty amount, so absolutely any dollar that can be donated would be extremely beneficial.I am super excited to be able to participate in this group, (or march quads for that matter). I’ve marched snare for 4 years now. I’ve been at part of Forsyth Central Marching Band and the Indoor Drum line, along with this past season being spent with Atlanta Quest. This experience offers me a large opportunity to broaden my knowledge of marching percussion, and make me a better and more efficient player overall. Even just a dollar would help me march, so please, if you can even give just a little, I would be very appreciative.Marched with this dude in AQ and he’s a total beast. He definitely could use the donations, so give him some help!

Coastal Surge is a new DCI based out of Myrtle Beach, SC. They currently have several openings:
- 4-5 Trumpets
- 3 Mellophones
- 1 Marching Bass Drum
- 1-2 Auxiliary Percussion
- 1 Synthesizer
- Guard
This is a good chance for anyone looking to march a drum corps but does not yet have much experience. Check them out guys.

Phantom Regiment Front Ensemble 2012 - “Michi”
Michi was always my favorite PRFE warm-up to hear every opportunity we got. I’ve been replaying this for days now. And I love how ethereal the video is, too, simply from the interplay of the light rays. I only wish there was a recording of the 2011 rendition as clear as this one so I could enjoy the Lacrimosa melody, too. But how fitting that the 2012 arrangement integrates the melody from Nessun dorma (“None shall sleep”) for my nocturnal self’s ears. It’s so soothing.
